Rhubarb Cherry Red
Synonyms : Cherry, Early Cherry
Cherry Red' is an ancient and highly prized South Australian variety, grown commercially for around 60 years as a preferred year-round variety in the Adelaide Hills. A distinctive blueberry hue on the erect 60-70cm stems.
Long, thick stems that are a rich red inside and out. This vigorous producer is juicy, tender and sweet. Produces almost no flower stems. The stems are difficult to pull.

'Cherry Red' is a much-prized old South Australian variety grown in the trade for perhaps 60 years as the preferred year-round cropper in the Adelaide Hills. A distinctive blueberry tone to the upright stems to 60cm to 70cm. New to us but has been highly recommended by Victoria's premier growers who have an association with the sources going back to the post war era.
