INGRÉDIENTS- Quebec sparkling water (see NOTES) 1 L (4 cups)
- Quebec rosé wine 1 bottle of 750 ml
- Rhubarb syrup-1 recipe
- Quebec gin 60 ml (2 oz)
- Ice cubes 500 ml (2 cups)
- Seasonal local fruit, your choice (see NOTES) 500 ml (2 cups)
- Fresh mint to taste
PRÉPARATION- In a pitcher, pour the sparkling water, wine, rhubarb syrup and gin.
- Divide the ice cubes and the chosen fruit into glasses. Pour the sangria, garnish with fresh mint and serve.
- END NOTES: For a 100% local cocktail, choose a Quebec sparkling water like Montellier,(New window) a Quebec rosé wine like that of the vineyard Les Vents d’Ange or that of Coteau Rougemont, and a Quebec gin like Loop, Noroi or Rosemont.
- Vary the fruit chosen according to what’s available at the market: raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, watermelon cubes... you can also choose frozen local fruit!
